Gilbert Man Dies in Crash Friday Night

LEXINGTON CO., S.C. (WOLO) – A 58-year-old Gilbert man was killed in a crash in Lexington County just before midnight Friday.

The Lexington County Coroner said Scott R. Woodcock was driving his Dodge truck on Crystal Springs Road, when he ran it off the left side of the road and it overturned.

Woodcock was transported to Lexington Medical Center from the scene and was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital. An autopsy performed the next day, showed Woodcock died from blunt force trauma.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
