Man Faces Charges After Allegedly Killing Grandparent’s Kitten
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – An 18-year-old man is behind bars after allegedly killing his grandparent’s kitten.
Authorities say Matthew Harper is charged with ill treatment of animals for killing the 6-month-old kitten on Hemphill Road on Friday, March 11 by cutting the kitten in the upper body.
He turned himself in to investigators on Tuesday, April 5.
Sheriff Leon Lott said Harper, killed the kitten while the victim was out of town; an anonymous Crimestoppers tip lead to the identity of Harper.
