Road Rage Leads to Hit-and-Run Incident
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Columbia Police are looking for whoever intentionally ran over a man standing in his driveway Saturday night.
Investigators say the incident stemmed from an earlier incident of road rage on Deer Lake Drive near Percival Road
The vehicle involved in the hit-and-run is described as a light blue car, possibly an older model Monte Carlo, officials say.
Authorities have already arrested a man suspected to be one of the drivers of the two vehicles included in the road rage.
Officials say that as the suspect’s car left the scene, it’s believed that Jones, who was nearby, pointed a gun at one of the initial victims from Deer Lake Drive, and fired into the air.
He is charged with pointing and presenting a firearm at a person and discharging a firearm in city limits.
A judge set a $51,092.50 bond regarding the two charges.
Jones is being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
