Watch: National Volunteer Week

Columbia,S.C. (WOLO) — The United Way of the Midlands is giving you the chance to give a little bit of your time to help dozens of people in need. Saturday was the kick off to National Volunteer Week. This year, instead of just holding events on one day, The United Way says they’ll have opportunities for you to volunteer in or outside of your community.

The United Way is also offering a pretty cool incentive for those who sign up to volunteer at http://www.uway.org and once you get your confirmation that you’ve successfully signed up – you qualify for free tickets to this weekend’s Columbia Fireflies game at Spirit Communications Park, Sunday April17th at 2pm.

Click here to hear the list of events volunteers are needed for. You still have plenty of time. National Volunteer Week runs until April 19th.
