21st Annual Columbia International Festival
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The Columbia International Festival, the largest international event in the Southeast, has announced the 21st annual event to take place Saturday, April 16 (10am to 7pm) through Sunday, April 17 (Noon to 6pm) at the South Carolina State Fairgrounds. The featured continent for this year’s festival is AFRICA.
The festival provides opportunity for individuals to visit exhibits and vendors from around the world to sample international cuisine and buy imported gifts and souvenirs. Festival goers can also watch cultural performances and view the colorful “Parade of Nations” which presents the flags from over 75 countries as well as meet our international neighbors who live, work, and study in the Columbia metro area and those who provide them with various services.
This event is fun for the whole family and entry for adults is $7.00 at the entrance. (Tickets are $5.00 in advance with a $2 off coupon available at www.ifmusa.org or the Columbia International Festival, 610 Pickens St. in Columbia). Admission is free for 6- 12 year olds as well as for active duty (Military & Family) w/ID. All proceeds benefit the Columbia International Festival, a non -profit organization in South Carolina.
