Local Woman Wins Big With Scratch Off Lottery Ticket
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — A Columbia woman is a quarter-of-a-million dollars richer.
According to officials with the South Carolina Lottery, the woman stopped at the Xpress Zone 2 on Bush River Road and bought a Carolina Green lottery ticket on her way to work.
The winner says she’s buying a home and paying off her student loans with the scratch off ticket prize money.
“I still want to pinch myself,” she said.
One top prize of $250,000 remains in the $10 Carolina Greengame, lottery officials say.
The odds of winning $250,000 are 1 in 696,000.
For selling the claimed ticket, Xpress Zone 2 in Columbia received a commission of $2,500.
