Citizens Invited to ‘Coffee with a Deputy’

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC ( WOLO) – Building relationships. One ‘Cup of Joe’ at a time.

Deputies with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department are looking for you.

Not for a speeding ticket or a noise complaint, but for a friendly cup of coffee and conversation.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott says he wants to hear from the community.

No agenda or speeches, just a chance to ask questions, voice concerns, and get to know the deputies in your neighborhood, Lott said.

“Coffee with a Deputy will take place simultaneously on Saturday, May 7, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. AM at the following locations:

Region 1 and Region 8 – 2615 Lower Richland Boulevard

Region 2 – 7201 Two Notch Road

Region 3 – 629 Bishop Avenue

Region 4 – 1019 Beatty Road

Region 6 – 118 McNulty Street, Suite B, Blythewood

Region 7 – 1405 Screaming Eagle Road, Elgin    

Sheriff Lott said there will be open dialog on crime, gangs, assaults, robbery, burglary, motor vehicle thefts, domestic violence, RCSD Programs and Services, Community Action Team, Neighborhood Crime Watch, and whatever concerns and interests citizens may have.
