Authorities Looking for Suspect in Quick Pantry Robbery

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WOLO) – Investigators with the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Department say they are looking for a gunman who robbed a Springfield convenience store Sunday night.

Officials say employees at the Quick Pantry told investigators that around 9 p.m. a hooded subject walked into the store demanding money.

Security video shows what is believed to be a Hispanic or white male approach the Capital Highway business wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt, sunglasses, and a mask, officials say.

After being given money from the cash register, the gunman then left the store while concealing the handgun and money inside the hoodie.

No one inside the business was injured during the robbery.

If anyone has any information on the gunman, they are asked to call the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office at 803-534-3550 or CRIMESTOPPERS at 1-888-CRIME-SC (888-274-6372), text CRIMES to (274637), and mark the beginning of the message with “TIPSC,” followed by the tip information or go to: www.midlandscrimestoppers.com, and click on the “Submit a tip” tab.
