Man Identified in Fatal Motorcycle vs. Car Crash

LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WOLO) – Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the man who was killed in a motorcycle-versus-automobile accident that occurred yesterday along Sunset Boulevard.

29-year-old Mark Christopher Wheaton, a passenger on the motorcycle, died on the scene from injuries he sustained in the accident that occurred at 5 p.m., in the 5500 block of Sunset Boulevard in Lexington.

Fisher said the driver of the motorcycle was transported to an area hospital; his condition is unknown at this time.

The accident remains under investigation by the Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the Lexington Police Department.
