Deputies in Sumter Need Help Identifying Suspect in Recent Car Break-In
SUMTER COUNTY, SC (WOLO) – Deputies with the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted for breaking into a vehicle overnight.
The suspect was caught on surveillance footage entering an unlocked vehicle during the night and taking some item before fleeing.
Officials with the department say there has been a rash of vehicle break-ins around Sumter
County.
Many times people are leaving items in their vehicles overnight and are not locking the doors, officials say.
Sumter County Sheriff Anthony Dennis would like to remind residents not to leave items on car seats or where they can be seen by someone walking past. Valuable items should hiddenhttp://www.twitter.com/kimberleidavis inside at night or locked away in the trunk.
