Orangeburg Co., S.C. (WOLO)–  Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenel says Michael Havens of Eutawville was extradited from Arkansas to Orangeburg today and charged with two counts of Ill-Treatment of Animals.

Deputies say on March 25th Havens’ neighbors reported hearing gunshots and dogs yelping at his Knott Dr. home.

Havens told investigators he had shot his dogs due to complaints from neighbors about the animals, according to an incident report.

One animal ran off after being shot while another was tied to a tree.

Havens was ultimately charged but in that time family members reported him missing.

Then on April 13th Havens was arrested during a traffic stop in Jacksonville, AR.
