Barber Accused of Pulling Gun on Customer, Saying, ‘I Don’t Cut Black Hair’
ROCK HILL. SC (WSOC) – A Rock Hill barber was charged after police said he was accused of pulling a gun on a black customer Tuesday.
The customer had walked into Larry Thomas’ barber shop on Celanese Road and asked him if he would cut his hair, according to a Rock Hill police report.
The customer told police that Thomas said he didn’t cut black hair. When the customer asked what he meant, Thomas grabbed a pistol and held it by his side.
Thomas never pointed the gun, but did present it, officials said.
Thomas was arrested and charged with pointing/presenting a gun at a person.
Thomas told police that he did not have a gun in his hand, but that he keeps his handguns locked up in his shed behind the barber shop.
