Florida Fugitives Captured in Gaston Overnight

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.— Police announced Wednesday night the capture of the remaining three murder suspects in connection to the April 27 murder of Keith Thompson after catching the first suspect on May 4.

Keith Dion Jackson, 25, Lewis Rayshard Braclet, 24 and Brandon O’Neal Roundtree, 24 were found outside Gaston, S.C. by a joint effort from F.B.I., South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, Gaston Police and Lexington County Sheriff’s deputies, a spokesperson for the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said in a release.

Chyon Horne, 25, was taken into custody by a SWAT team at a home on the 3500 block of N. Laura Street, a police spokesman said.

SWAT was able to talk Horne out of the home and arrested him without further incident.

Thompson was shot and left dead in the backyard of a home in Northwest Jacksonville on the 1000 block of E. Westbrook Circle a week ago.

Police have not said when they believe the trio will be extradited back to Florida. The arrest was announced shortly after 11 p.m. on Wednesday.

Both Jackson and Roundtree have served time before. Jackson was arrested in 2009 for a burglary for which he served 5 years, and Roundtree has been in and out of jail four times, twice for burglary. Jackson was also responsible for a fatal crash that killed UNF student Laura Erdelyi on Feb. 14 of this year.
