Police: Man Sexually Assaulted Mentally Disabled Victim for Two Years
SUMTER COUNTY, SC (WOLO) – A 28-year-old Rembert man is facing several charges after he allegedly sexually assaulted a mentally disabled woman over the course of two years.
Authorities say Justin Jacobs is charged with first degree criminal sexual misconduct and first degree assault with intent to commit CSC.
According the arrest warrant, Jacobs sexually assaulted the 55-year-old victim numerous times from January 1, 2013 to January 1, 2015.
Jacobs allegedly held the victim down and put his hands over her mouth to prevent her from screaming for help, authorities say.
Warrants say Jacobs knew of the victim was mentally disabled and that she told him repeatedly to stop.
He is being held at the Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center.
