Mother of Hit-and-Run Victim: Driver Has No Place To Hide

hitandrun22.jpgBLUFFTON, S.C. (AP) – It’s going on three weeks since a 14-year-old Bluffton girl was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Interstate 26 in Calhoun County.

The driver has not been arrested but The Island Packet of Hilton Head reports the victim’s mother says that driver has no place to hide.

Heidi Hanson says she’s pleading with everyone to keep an eye out for the truck the Highway Patrol says was involved – a white Dodge 2500 crew cab with damage to the right front passenger side.

Hanson’s daughter, Grace Sulak, was killed and two other people were hurt in the May 7 hit-and-run.

Hanson says investigators have followed leads through the South Carolina Lowcountry and to Georgia and Florida, pulling surveillance video from convenience stores as part of the investigation.
