ABOUT LAST GAME: The Fireflies erased a two-run deficit on Wednesday afternoon and defeated the Augusta GreenJackets, 7-4. Kevin Canelon picked up his third win of the season and Columbia completed the three-game sweep.
BROOM CITY: Columbia notched the first three-game sweep at Spirit Communications Park with the win over Augusta. The Fireflies previously swept the Rome Braves from April 12-13 (doubleheader on 4/12) on the road.
BUG SQUASHERS: The Fireflies outscored Augusta 23-7 during the sweep. Vinny Siena and Kevin Kaczmarski were unstoppable:

Kevin Kaczmarski: 4-7, 3 Runs, 2B, HR, 6 RBI
Kaczmarski had just two RBIs entering the series.
COUNTRY ROADS: This is the first of two trips to Charleston, West Virginia, for Columbia. The Fireflies visit Appalachian Power Park from June 30-July 3. The state capital was originally named Charles Town, but was changed to avoid confusion with another city in West Virginia that bore the same name. 3-time MLB All-Star John Kruk was born in Charleston.
THE AMAZING MAZEIKA: In his first eight games for Columbia, Pat Mazeika is hitting .444 with seven RBIs and an on-base percentage of .529. He goes for his third straight multi-hit game on Thursday against West Virginia.
