Coroner Identifies Woman Found in Broad River

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – The Richland County Coroner has released the name of the individual who was found in the Broad River on Saturday evening.

Gary Watts said the body of 37-year-old Lindsay McKay of Columbia was recovered from the river at approximately 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

She was reported missing on Saturday just after 9 p.m., officials say.

McKay died from drowning, Watts said.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is still investigating the case.
