Lexington Co. Deputies Investigating Shooting

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – Authorities with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department say they are investigating a shooting that occurred in Batesburg-Leesville Tuesday.

According to the LCSD Twitter account, officers say they were called to a home on Truex Road and Rish Drive around 8 a.m.

When deputies arrived, they found the victim, who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim is receiving treatment for those wounds. We have detectives in the area and crime scene investigators are collecting evidence.

At this time, there is no update on the victim’s condition and it’s unclear what led up to the shooting.
