Victim of I-77 Fatal Crash Identified

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – The Richland County Coroner has released the name of the man who died Wednesday evening after being involved in an accident on Interstate 77.

42-year-old Kareem Agee Motley of Columbia died from blunt force trauma due to the injuries he sustained in a tractor trailer vs. motor vehicle incident that occurred at 5:30 p.m. on I-77 Northbound at Garners Ferry Road, Gary Watts said.

Motley was transported from the scene by EMS and was pronounced dead at Palmetto Health Richland nearly an hour later.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol are still investigating the accident.
