Woman Wanted for Alleged Assault Outside RCSD Headquarters, Surrenders

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – A 28-year-old woman wanted by police after she was allegedly caught on surveillance video assaulting a victim outside the Richland County Sheriff’s Department main headquarters has surrendered to authorities

On May 16, Courtney Gibson is accused of following the victim to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department after a verbal altercation in an attempt to provoke the victim.

The incident occurred at the Richland County Sheriff’s Department main headquarters parking lot located at 5623 Two Notch Road.

Officials say Gibson turned herself in to authorities Thursday afternoon.
