Suspect in Armed Robbery Apprehended in Maryland

arobbery.jpgRICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – A teen wanted in connection to an armed robbery in May was taken into custody last week by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department and the U.S. Marshals Office in Maryland.

On Thursday, June 2, authorities arrested Mark Cato, after they allege that he went to an electronics repair shop to drop off a phone and when he returned an hour later he robbed a store employee.

The incident occurred at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, at Mr. PC located at 163-4 Forum Drive.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said Cato was located in Maryland by the United States Marshals Office; he will be extradited back to Columbia South Carolina as soon possible.

Once he arrives, he will be transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center, Lott said.
