Founders Park Copes with Heat

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Officials at Founders Park are hoping to keep fans cool in the sweltering Summer heat, here in Columbia.
According to officials at the Park, they’ve made some changes for this weekend’s heat.

Among the changes are additional misting fans being brought in, as well as tents for shade. The tents will be set up throughout the stadium near the first and third base lines and outfield areas.
USC Officials also say free cups of ice will be available at designated first and third base concourse areas and all 20 oz. water bottles are being discounted down to $2.00.
A water cart will also be set up along the first base and third base areas to provide complimentary cups of water, say officials.
