Employee Accused of Spending $30K In Company Funds for Personal Use

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – A woman is behind bars for allegedly using her employers credit card racking up $30,000 in personal purchases.

55-year-old Valoree Corbett is charged with breach of trust following her arrest at her home on June 4.

Authorities say Richland County Sheriff’s Department investigators were notified by Air Advance Heating and Air Conditioning that Corbett, the company’s office manager, made personal purchases on electronics, furniture, vacations, and making personal bill payments.

Corbett is also accused of transferring over $10,000 in to her personal bank account from the company’s account.

Authorities say the incidents occurred between 2014 and 2015.

She is being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
