Schrock Named SAL All-Star Game MVP

@hagerstownsuns/TwitterFormer Gamecock 2nd baseman Max Schrock went 2-3 with 2 RBI and earned MVP honors at the South Atlantic League All-Star game in Lexington, Kentucky Tuesday night.  Schrock’s North team knocked off the South division team 2-1.  The Hagerstown Suns slugger got a first inning RBI double off Columbia Fireflies pitcher P.J. Conlon.

Conlon ended up the losing pitcher, giving up two hits and one run in one inning of work.

Schrock had quite the first half in his first full professional season hitting .327.  He leads Hagerstown with 84 hits and 18 doubles.
