Authorities investigate officer-involved shooting in Easley

officer-involved-shooting22.jpgEASLEY, S.C. (AP) – The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office says authorities are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Easley.

Multiple media outlets report deputies responded Sunday afternoon to a 911 call about someone breaking into a home.

Thom Berry with the S.C. Law Enforcement Division says shots were fired when deputies encountered a suspect.

Chief Deputy Creed Hashe says a suspect was taken to a hospital with injuries. He says the deputy wasn’t injured.
