Dawn Staley Reacts to Summit Death
Columbia, S.C (WOLO) — The death of 64 year old Legendary Basketball Coach Pat Summitt has taken the sports world by storm.
The news of Summitt’s death even touching some right here in the Midlands, including South Carolina Women’s Head Basketball Coach Dawn Staley.
The American basketball Hall of Fame player and Gamecocks Coach, Dawn Staley, took to twitter Tuesday with her thoughts on Legendary Coach Pat Summitt saying:
” A sad day in my life…and the entire women’s basketball community. Pat Summitt Thank you for sharing your passion and love for the game with all of us.”
No word yet on when Summitt will be laid to rest.
Summitt was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease five years ago.
