Plans Set to Celebrate CCU Chanticleers’ Return

CCU fans are invited to welcome the Chanticleers home following the conclusion of the College World Series. (WPDE
CONWAY, S.C. (WPDE) — Chanticleer fans are invited to cheer on the Coastal Carolina Mens Baseball team when they arrive at the General Aviation gate of Myrtle Beach International Airport tonight at 11 p.m.
The General Aviation Facility is located at 1250 Airdrome Avenue in the Market Common in Myrtle Beach.
Friday, fans and community members will hold a Welcome Home motorcade and ceremony to celebrate the successes of the Coastal Carolina University Chanticleers
Fans are invited to line the streets of downtown Conway to cheer as the motorcade will make its way through the area around 1:30 p.m. Friday. (See the map attached to this story)
The team will continue to CCU for the Welcome Home Ceremony, set to begin at around 2 p.m.
At approximately 2 p.m., the motorcade will arrive at the main entrance of the TD Sports Complex, located on West Chanticleer Drive.
Fans may gather from the Chauncey statue to the Springs Brooks Baseball Stadium to cheer on and welcome the team.
Fans will form a gauntlet to cheer on the team, starting at the Chauncey statue leading to the Springs Brooks Baseball Stadium.
The official Welcome Home Ceremony will immediately follow at the stadium.
In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held at the HTC Student Recreation and Convocation Center.
