Swansea Man Arrested on Obstruction Charges
LEXINGTON, S.C. (AP) – Lexington County sheriff’s deputies say they’ve arrested a Swansea man wanted on obstruction charges in the shooting death of a man in April.
The sheriff’s department said in a news release that investigations think Daiquan Lamont Brooks has information about the April 29 death of 21-year-old Ryan Williams of Swansea.
An autopsy showed that Williams was killed by a single gunshot in Gaston.
Sheriff Jay Koon said Brooks was arrested Thursday afternoon at an apartment complex in Cayce with the help of a community tip.
Brooks also faces a drug related charge that happened where Williams was killed.
Fareen Rasheed Makeen of Jenkinsville was arrested in Virginia in early May on a murder charge.
Teresa Farris Epley of Swansea was arrested in West Columbia the day Williams was killed.
