Black Lives Matter protesters close I-126 Sunday night

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Black Lives Matter protesters gathered at the State House Sunday evening, for a speech promoting peace and unity.

The group then took to the streets of downtown Columbia, eventually marching onto I-126 via Huger Street, closing the highway for a time. Police have reopened traffic along the interstate since then.

If you are making your way into or out of Columbia tonight, please be on high alert.
