Burglary suspect sought after A/C unit theft

ELGIN, S.C. (WOLO) – The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office is searching for the suspect in a burglary that took place around 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Elgin.

Officials said it happened on Smyrna Church Road in Kershaw County. The suspect, seen above in surveillance images, stole an outside A/C unit, and tried to gain entry in a back door, but was unsuccessful.

The house was broken into just five days ago. Authorities believe the suspect has knowledge of the first burglary. The residence is at the Kershaw/Richland County line, so the suspect could live in either county.
