Deputies Investigate After 3 Year Old Accidentally Shoots Self

Lexington Co., S.C. (WOLO)–The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department wants to know how a three-year-old girl got her hands on the gun that she accidentally shot herself with.

Captain Adam Myrick says just after 12:30 Monday afternoon deputies responded to a home on Glenn Rd. in Gaston.

Myrick says the girl’s injury was not fatal but her condition is unknown at this time.

According to Myrick, no charges have been filed but the incident is still under investigation.
