(AP)–Authorities say a man found dead from the heat in his South Carolina home had only a fan to cool him down. Laurens County Coroner Nick Nichols told media outlets that 74-year-old Robert Hamilton had likely been dead for a week when he was found by his landlord at his Ware Shoals mobile home on Sunday. Nichols says it was 100 degrees in the home when first responders arrived and an autopsy found Hamilton died from heat stroke with a lung disease contributing to his death.
