Highway patrol: Fire truck and car collide in Irmo

IRMO, S.C. (WOLO) – The SC Highway Patrol is investigating a collision between an Irmo Fire Department truck and a car that sent two people to the hospital.

Officials said the collision happened around 5:10 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of St. Andrews Road and Tram Road. Deputies said two people in the car were taken to the hospital with injuries. No on in the fire truck was hurt.

The investigation into the cause of the collision continues.
