Coroner: Heat Was A Contributing Factor In 98-Year-Old Man’s Death
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – The Richland County Coroner released the name of the man found dead in his Briarfield Road home Thursday.
Raymond Twork, 98, died from acute coronary insufficiency and hyperthermia from the hot weather was contributory, Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said.
Watts said the air conditioner in Twork’s home was found to not be working properly.
Citizens are encouraged to check on their elderly or sick family members and/or neighbors during this extreme hot weather.
