Lugoff Man Killed in Collision on Motorcycle Not Wearing Helmet

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – A Lugoff man, who died after colliding with another car on his motorcycle, was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident, the Richland County Coroner said.

Coroner Gary Watts said Emmett Tolbert, 43, died Friday night, from blunt force trauma to the head. The collision occurred around 10:25 p.m. on Broad River Road at Beatty Road in Columbia.

The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
