Suspects Wanted for Cross Jurisdiction Crimes, Police Say

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – Two suspects are wanted by authorities for allegedly committing crimes in Richland County, Lexington County, the City of Columbia, and Forest Acres.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said the suspects are responsible for the following incidents:

On June 21, deputies responded to a burglary at the Redden Mobile Welding located at 3942 Farrow Road.

Police say the suspects entered the business by cutting a lock on the garage door and stole a bandsaw, side grinder and small welder valued near $700.

On June 29, authorities with the Forest Acres Police Department responded to a motor vehicle theft at Michael’s Cleaners located at 1709 Decker Boulevard.

The victim stated that a white, 1995 Ford Econoline van was stolen by a suspect who was seen covering his face; the suspect drive off with the van followed by someone driving a Crown Victoria, police say.

On June 29, at the Hobart Services located at 2131 Willow Oak Drive, police say the victim’s license plate was stolen from his vehicle a 2012 Ford Econoline van.

The suspects allegedly went to Redden Mobile Welding and stole a welding machine, two tanks with hoses, and one trailer.

On July 2, Lexington County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle in the woods adjacent to a residential neighborhood near Shumpert Drive.

The white van seen in the video was reported stolen out of Forest Acres and is believed to be the same vehicle used in recent burglaries, authorities say.

Sheriff Lott say the suspects also used the white stolen Ford van to steal welding equipment from the business in the City of Columbia.
