SC State Conducts Second Preseason Practice
ORANGEBURG, SC (Bulldogs) — Head coach Buddy Pough and the Bulldogs open the 2016 campaign on the road against Central Florida in a 7 p.m. showdown in Orlando, Florida.
The Bulldogs, worked on individual & team style drills in a two-hour workout in shorts and helmets during the morning session, while devoting some attention to special teams.
“We are still working on out installation process at the moment and will continue to focus on installing the first few practices,” said SC State head coach Buddy Pough. “We get a chance to add shells on tomorrow, which gives us an opportunity to have a little more contact before we suiting up in full gear next week.”
Pough added that the some of the young guys are showing life early on but it’s still too early to tell.
The Bulldogs will conduct its third practice Sunday (Aug. 7), in a morning session at 9:30 a.m. in helmets and shells, followed by a Monday (Aug.8) morning workout before suiting up in full gear on Tuesday (Aug.9).
SC State will hold its Media/Picture Day on Saturday, Aug. 13, beginning at 9 a.m. The annual “Meet the Players Day,” hosted by The S.T.A.T.E Club, is set for Saturday, Aug. 20 at 12 p.m. More details on these events will be released later.
