OCSO: Man Attempted To Cash Insurance Settlement Twice

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WOLO) – Deputies with the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office have apprehend the man who they say tried to cash in on an insurance settlement – twice.

Travis Green, 31, is accused of obtaining goods under false pretenses after attempting to cash two checks in June worth $3,250 each.

Authorities say, the check was an insurance settlement Green was receiving.

Green was advised that a check was mailed and was told to destroy one check, but did not do so, police say.

A bond hearing for Green will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m.
