IRMO, S.C. (WOLO) – An 11-year-old Irmo girl is competing in the first ever Food Network Star Kids series.

Tyra Jefferson flew to Los Angeles with her mother earlier this summer to shoot the show, with nine other culinary kids from across the country. The winner gets their very own show on FoodNetwork.com and a feature in Food Network Magazine. The show premieres Monday, August 22.
