Blythewood Beats Rock Hill 27-20 to Open 2016 Season

(PressBox) — The Blythewood Bengals used a 9-play, 91-yard drive late in the 4th Quarter to earn a season-opening victory over the visiting Rock Hill Bearcats. With the game tied at 20, the Bengals got the ball with 2:38 left. Quarterback Jordan Adams rushed for 26 yards and threw for 59 more to lead the Bengals. Adams scored the game-winning touchdown with 1:09 left in the game on a 9-yard run. Adams finished the game with 107 yards rushing and 239 passing.

Jaylon Boyd led the Bengals with two rushing touchdowns. Boyd scored the first two touchdowns of the game and finished with 106 yards rushing. Kameron Riley led the Bengals with 84 yards receiving, including a 31-yard touchdown.

Cassius Garner had an interception and blocked a kick to lead the Bengals defensively. Jayden Brunson intercepted a Bearcat pass with 0:09 left in the game to seal the victory. Jacob Ely had a forced fumble and Armon Bosier had two sacks.
