SC Carriage Horse Rides Under Review in Charleston

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) – While Charleston will review its rules on carriage horses and mules working in hot weather, a local animal advocacy group says more than how the heat affects the animals should be studied. A group known as Charleston Carriage Horse Advocates wants an independent study of all aspects of the industry including, among other things, feeding and watering horses, cleaning barns and how much time animals get in pastures.
