Watch: Devine St. Reopen After Afternoon Accident

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Traffic is flowing again on Devine Street after an accident closed a portion of the road for the majority of Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Columbia Police Department a car went off road, hitting a utility pole near the intersection of Devine Street and Crowson Road.
Department spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons, tells ABC Columbia, that the collision caused communication wires to fall and a semi truck became entangled.
Officials say the driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries.
Authorities are still investigating what caused the car to veer off the road and hit the utility pole.

Police say the driver of the car sustained minor injuries.
