University in South Carolina Going Solar
GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) – Furman University says it plans to build a large solar farm on six acres near its main campus entrance along Poinsett Highway.
The 743-kilowatt project would be the largest solar project on a South Carolina college campus.
It would bring Furman’s total solar power generation near 1,000 kilowatts, the maximum allowed on site under state law.
