New books and school supplies are being gathered through Thursday.
Center for Children’s Books and Literacy Director Kim Jeffcoat says South Carolina learned how devastating flooding could be during the historic floods of 2015.
Jeffcoat says helping rebuild libraries is a small way the state can help Louisiana rebuild.
Donations may be dropped off at the Center for Children’s Books and Literacy at 1430 Senate Street.; at the School of Journalism and Mass Communications at 800 Sumter Street.; and at the School of Library and Information Science at 1501 Greene Street.
