Friday Night’s Fireflies Game Postponed Due to Hermine

FirefliesCOLUMBIA, SC (Fireflies) – The Fireflies announced that tonight’s game at Spirit Communications Park against the visiting Charleston RiverDogs has been postponed due to Tropical Storm Hermine. Friday’s game, and the scheduled post-game fireworks display, has been moved to Sunday.

Saturday’s game will remain a single game, with the Fireflies hosting the RiverDogs at 7:05pm.

“Based on the current forecast models and the projected impact to the Midlands, we felt that making the call early was the right decision,” said Fireflies Team President John Katz. “The safety of our fans, our staff and the players from both teams is the most important thing we can protect.”

Tickets for Friday’s game may be exchanged for a game on Saturday, Sunday or Monday.
