Alleged Purse Snatcher Sought by RCSD

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – Deputies with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department say they are looking for a 32-year-old purse-snatcher.

Lamar Kelly is accused of robbing the victim that he met through Craigslist in order to purchase her iPhone.

Police say Kelly reached into the vehicle and stole the phone which was sitting on her lap.

The incident occurred in the 7300 block of Parklane Road on August 25.

Authorities say the suspect was identified after investigators followed up on leads.

Kelly is described as a black male, 5’ 6, 150 lbs, bald head, with numerous tattoos.
