COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – An accident caused road closures in Columbia Monday afternoon.

According to a tweet by the Columbia Fire Department, the accident occurred at Monticello Road and Bruton Road.

Officials are asking drivers to avoid the area while they continue to investigate.
