Victim Identified in Eastover Fatal Shooting

EASTOVER, S.C. (WOLO) – The Richland County Coroner has released the name of the man who was shot and killed yesterday in the 200 block of Jeanie Collins Road in Eastover.

Gary Watts said 52-year-old Jasper J. Myers, Jr. died at Palmetto Health Richland from complications of a gunshot wound to the upper body.

The shooting occurred around 5 p.m., Myers died an hour later.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident.
