SC DOT : Cost of repaving Interstates increasing
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) _ Transportation officials say the cost of repaving about 60 miles of two South Carolina interstates will nearly double because workers will need to fully reconstruct the highway.
The state Department of Transportation is asking for public input on the new projects.
DOT officials say the condition of the pavement has gotten so bad, they cannot just repave the sections.
