UPDATE: RCSD Deputy Suspended for Driving Department Vehicle to Son’s Traffic Stop

Lisa Grazioli
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – Following the arrest of a Richland County Sheriff’s deputy earlier this month for interfering during a traffic stop in Kershaw County involving her son, Sheriff Leon Lott said the deputy was suspended for three days.
On September 6, Deputy Lisa Graziolli’s son Victor Ortiz was pulled for reportedly not having his headlights on and crossing the center line.
The incident occurred on Highway 601 in Lugoff.
Dash cam video showed Grazioli who is a school resource officer for the Richland County Sheriff’s Department come to the scene.
Sheriff Leon Lott said the incident was investigated by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department’s Internal Affairs Unit and the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office.
As a result of the investigation, Deputy Grazioli was suspended three days without pay for “conduct detrimental to the operations of the Sheriff’s Department,” Lott said.
Lott said the suspension was for driving her Richland County Sheriff’s Department vehicle to her son’s traffic stop, and for displaying behavior not representative of the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
Lott said Grazioli has already served her suspension and no further action will be taken on this matter until resolution of the charge brought against her.
